Charles A. Waldorff, Jr
Mr. Waldorff was Vice President of Technology for Telxon, a leading manufacturer of mobile computers, from 1987 to 1990, and was personally responsible for Product Development, R & D, Program Management and Engineering Services, as well as part of the general management team that focused on acquisitions and their strategic integration into the organization.
From 1990 to 2002, Mr. Waldorff was Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for Coin Acceptors (COINCO), a leading manufacturer of products for the vending and automatic transaction industry. In addition to his responsibilities for management oversight of four product divisions, he implemented a global corporate network, developed a comprehensive supply chain management organization and was instrumental in the development of new products and the marketing of intellectual property. While at COINCO, Mr. Waldorff was involved with three acquisitions, one of which he helped to oversee as a board member.
From 2003-2005 Mr. Waldorff was Chief Operating Officer of Guardian Technologies, a Glengary client company, where he was responsible for the development, market testing and entry for the company’s product. From 2005-2006, Mr. Waldorff, as an executive-on-loan was VP Business Development for Industrial Emergency Services, a provider of in-plant personnel, cooperative (cost-shared) fire stations, training and professional consulting services to the oil, chemical, and other high-hazard industries. In 2014, Mr. Waldorff served as acting President of Mobile Awareness, an information technology company focusing on products for the commercial trucking industry. In 2015, Mr. Waldorff worked with Halberg Family Investments on the roll-up of two companies. The new company will serve the patient finance and engagement sectors of the healthcare industry.
Mr. Waldorff as a Glengary Partner, leads the due diligence team when Glengary is evaluating new investment opportunities. He works with Glengary client companies as a board member or an advisor. He also provides services in the areas of strategic planning and execution, product development, computer technology, and business operations.
Mr. Waldorff is active within the community, contributing significant time to church and youth sports activities. He has served as a board member of the Key Ministry Foundation, which provides assistance to churches ministering to families with children who suffer from serious hidden emotional, behavioral, or developmental disorders.
Mr. Waldorff holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering with Computer Science option from the University of Florida.
